Empowering the next generation with essential digital skills.
The Digital Ready Schools Initiative is a core programme of the Liz Dengate Thrush Foundation, focused on supporting primary and secondary schools across New Zealand with the tools, resources, and training needed to build digital literacy from a young age. Through in-class workshops, teacher development sessions, and age-appropriate online resources, we help students understand how the Internet works, how to stay safe online, and how to use digital tools critically and creatively.
This programme is designed to align with the New Zealand Digital Technologies curriculum and supports educators in integrating real-world Internet knowledge into everyday learning. By equipping students with the confidence to navigate and shape the digital world, we’re fostering a generation of thoughtful, tech-savvy New Zealanders ready for the future.
